The Okanagan's Largest Art Show, Lake Country ArtWalk 2013 September 7th and 8th was a wonderful success. There were thousands of people that came to view all of the 300 artists. It was very exciting to meet so many of my former clients, and see so many interested art collectors from the Thompson/Okanagan, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary area. The atmosphere was charged with energy and enthusiasm, as people viewed the visual arts! These photos show some of my original paintings that were displayed at my exhibition that weekend.
I was pleased to be involved in the juried exhibition at the special Lake Country Art Gallery theme Gallery. The theme, It's About Time, was represented by artists in many ways, literally, symbolically, and metaphorically. My painting, Songhees Across the Water, was chosen as it depicts the passing of time with the ancient Songhees carved pole on one side of the Inner Harbour, contrasting with the more modern Parliament buildings of Victoria, B.C.
