This splendid stand of Aspen trees, with their golden yellow leaves trembling in the autumn sunshine, was like a warm welcome calling one to enter and go for a hike. The smooth white bark of the younger trees contrasted vividly with the dark furrowed bark of the older trees. One just had to enter. The warm colours of cadmium yellow deep and Hansa yellow medium were critical in painting these beautiful trees in the fall. I love being outdoors in nature, and this area in behind Apex Mountain is spectacular.
