Sundown in Wine Country

As you wind your way along Okanagan Lake, south to Skaha Lake, and then through to the South Okanagan, you will be celebrating over forty five years of grape growing and wine making. This painting emphasizes the sun setting with the vines basking in the warm rays of the sun at the peak of the growing season. The sharp edges of the leaves of the vines draw attention to the foreground, and those edges are dissolved in the rolling hills in the distance to create the misty atmosphere. This spectacular time of day was captured using glazes for clouds surrounding the setting sun.
